About this tour
This tour is fairly long and although there is plenty to see on the way it’s not quite as action packed when it comes to attractions as the south coast for example. However, if you don’t mind taking things a bit slower you will be rewarded by some of the most beautiful landscapes in Iceland.
Snæfellsjökull glacier is the crown jewel of the Snæfellsnes peninsula and people believe it has all sorts of mystical powers. It’s also where the start of the Jules Verne story The Journey to the Center of the earth takes place and when you see the glacier and lava surrounding it, it’s not hard to imagine why this place has inspired so many.
This tour is available in the following languages:
English: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays all year. Tuesdays and Fridays from June 1st to September 30th.
German: Saturdays all year.
French: Mondays from June 1st to August 31st
Spanish: Thursdays from June 1st to August 31st
Free pickup is offered from approved hotels, hostels and guesthouses in downtown Reykjavík
If you are staying in an AirBnB apartment or a hotel that is not included in the pickup list, it’s best if you find the next approved hotel and book your pickup from there.
If you are not sure what is the nearest pickup place, just be in touch and we’ll help you choose.
Reservations can be cancelled 24 hours prior to departure without penalty. Cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to departure will be charged full price.
