Private Airport Transfer
PARTNER TOUR – HANDPICKED ESPECIALLY FOR YOU
Hassle free and convenient way to get from Keflavík Airport to Reykjavík (with an optional stop at the Blue Lagoon)
If overnight travel is not your favorite thing and you are worried about arriving in Keflavík Airport disoriented, and dare we say grumpy, figuring out how to get to the city is probably not something you look forward to. By booking a private transfer you can arrive worry free because your driver will be there waiting for you and he will take you straight to the car. He’ll probably even help you with your bags if you ask him nicely and he will drop you off at your accommodation in Reykjavík. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Booking a private transfer is surprisingly economical in comparison with other options, especially when more than two people are traveling together.
Prices are per vehicle, not per person.
If there are two of you traveling you book 1 transfer for 1-4 people, not 2 transfers
The drive from Keflavík Airport to your hotel should take around 45 minutes
Wheelchairs and odd size baggage can be accommodated.
You can also book this transfer from Reykjavík. Just mention it in the Special Requests when you book and remember to add the address where you want to be picked up too.
Please note when booking this transfer that you are paying for the transfer per vehicle and not per person. If there are two people traveling you book 1 transfer for 1-4 people but if you are booking for 5 people for example you book 1 transfer for 5-8 people.
The driver will be waiting for you in the arrival halls upon arrival with a sign with your name on it. Just look for your name and you’ll be one step closer to your holiday (or meeting, if you are here for work) in Iceland.
You can also add a return journey to your booking by choosing it as a bookable extra. You will be asked for all the relevant information in the next step of the booking process.
Add a stop at the Blue Lagoon
If you are tired and your muscles sore from the flight, you can add a relaxing stop at the Blue Lagoon for an additional charge. The standard stop is 90 minutes, giving you around an hour in the lagoon, but if you need more time that can be arranged too. If you choose the Blue Lagoon extra you will be asked in the next step of the booking process whether you want to add some extra time.
Please note that during the winter the Blue Lagoon doesn’t open till 9am (it’s open from 8am June 1st till August 31st) so if you want to book a transfer with a stop at the Blue Lagoon you will have to wait in the airport a while if you arrive on a early flight. Alternatively, it’s possible for the driver to bring you somewhere where you can eat breakfast before the Blue Lagoon opens for an additional fee.
Admission to the Blue Lagoon is not included and it is advised that you book your ticket in advance.
This transfer can be booked for guests in wheelchairs and we haven’t encountered a wheelchair yet that could not be accommodated. Please mention in the Special Requests if you or someone traveling with you uses a wheelchair so the right car will be sent to pick you up. If you have more than 5 passengers in addition to the wheelchair and lots of luggage, please be in touch so we can make sure everyone can travel comfortably.
Booking this transfer
Please note that the price is per transfer and not per person. If you are booking for 2 people you book 1 transfer for 1-4 people. If you are booking for 5+ people you book 1 transfer for 5-8 people.

“Great Service way more than expected - Added the personal touch”
We were a group of 8 and had prebooked to be picked up at the airport - taken to the Blue lagoon, where Sigrun (or was it Oli?) waited for us, and said we could have as long as we liked there. Then on the way home he took us on a scenic drive around Reykjavik which was great as it helped us to orientate ourselves. Then after this on to our hotel.
But the best bit was on the Sunday evening (pick up Monday am from our hotel at 4.15 am -yawn!) we got an email from Sigrun to say that our plane would be delayed, with an estimated departure 5 hours later than expected, and that he would keep us updated and arranged for Eythor to pick us up once the departure time had been confirmed and we were provided with his telephone details too. This was very reassuring, and also allowed us more sleep. Great service indeed.
Our party of six was met by Sig at the airport at midnight and transferred to our apartment in suburban Reykjavik. When the landlord was not immediately available Sig stayed with us and made some phone calls until we were safely inside. Two days later, Olli took us on a half-day trip to the Reykjanes Peninsula and the Blue Lagoon and then dropped us off in downtown Reykjavik as we requested. He was cheerful and informative throughout the trip. We thought the service was excellent, personalized and less expensive than the larger tours and enthusiastically recommend the services of Icelandic Taxi Tours.

“Just as planned, just as described!”
We booked with Icelandic Taxi Tours for an early morning airport pick-up after the red-eye from BOS. Just as arranged, we were picked up just outside of Customs and whisked away in a lovely private vehicle to our hotel in Reykjavik. We enjoyed the service so much, we booked with them again for the return. They even had resources to use a credit card right in the vehicle complete with printed receipt. I would highly recommend them!
