I spend a lot of time and effort on maintaining this blog and despite the fact that I sometimes have people to help with this and that – I mostly do this on my own. I’m not complaining, I love it, but it’s hard work.

Whenever someone donates something through the blog I take that money and put it back into the blog. I pay for hosting services, it goes towards paying for my bus card so I can get between places or I get bits and bobs I need for my cameras. I’m a student with no income and the boyfriend is taking care of us for the time being. We’re just a normal family with a broken down car, an apartment that needs a lot of fixing and bills for the princess’s extra curricular activities. The point I’m trying to make is that I heart Reykjavík is not a company and I’m not making any money out of it.

35mm Canon lens from Amazon.com

Since I’m sorted for hosting for the time being I’m trying to scrape together some money for a new lens for my camera that will help me take better landscape photos. At the moment I only have one good lens that is better suited for other things. The lens costs around 300 USD on Amazon.com – a little more if I buy it in Iceland. So if you’d like to show your appreciation and help a blogger out – I would very gladly accept your donations that will hopefully in the end get me that lens. Every little bit counts.
