As I’ve mentioned before I wasn’t totally prepared for how busy I’d be this first semester back at school. I thought it would just be like when I was at work, just different hours. Wrong! To make sure this blog doesn’t die and to give you a chance to see Reykjavík and Iceland from perspectives other than mine, I’ve offered anyone with something interesting to say or share to contribute to the blog. And I’ve already found someone with a lot to share.
Meet the reader
First up is Florian Trykowski, a 29 year old professional photographer from Germany. Florian first visited Iceland with his family as a teenager but has been back 9 times since then and he’s coming back for the 11th time now in October for Iceland Airwaves. Thankfully, he found a wife equally obsessed with Iceland but they both got engaged and spent their honeymoon here.
Florian mostly works in advertisement and PR but his heart is in landscape- and music photography and he feels Iceland is the perfect place to combine the two. You can enjoy more of Florian’s work on his website floriantrykowski.com and at his Facebook Page
Why Florian loves Iceland and Reykjavík – in his own words
Why I love Reykjavík/Iceland? It has everything to offer for every part of me: the landscape for the photographer, the silence for the workaholic, the nature for the ex-pathfinder and outdoor fan, the energy bursting Reykjavik for the night owl, the music scene to get an all-combining soundtrack for the audiophile. So, in one sentence: because it’s a piece of the world where awesome landscape is inhabited by a bunch of incredible nice people, living an attitude to life which I admire
And finally, Florian’s stunning images from Iceland
