Icelandic Music I like: Leyndarmál by Ásgeir Trausti

I don’t know much about Ásgeir Trausti other than his older brother is in the Icelandic reggae band Hjálmar and that I love his voice. He’s 20 years old, trained as a classical guitarist and will be releasing his debut album in September. He’s already had 2 singles at the top of the Icelandic charts and it will be interesting to heart what the rest of the album will sound like. He’ll be playing at the now sold out Iceland Airwaves in October so if you like what you hear and you have a ticket (like me)  - you should definitely check him out.

Ásgeir Trausti is also responsible for one of my favorite songs of 2012 so far, Sumargestur, which he performed on Hljómskálinn. I’ve had this song stuck to my brain all summer.
